A few years ago, I ran a contest and Rebekah won the prize of a photo session. A few months before we had it scheduled, her then boyfriend, Shawn, contacted me and asked if I could stall her booking the session as he was planning to pop the question on their upcoming trip to Australia, and thought this would make some really great engagement photos. He was right! It was such a fun session … and Rebekah loved the “surprise” 🙂

Fast-forward 2.5 years, and a friend of Rebekah’s contacted me all the way from Australia to ask if she and some friends could “give” a newborn session to Rebekah for her soon-to-arrive Baby! After a little figuring, we were able to make it happen! I was so excited to be in on the surprise once again 🙂

And let me tell you … this session was awesome. Baby Lucas was amazing and he even brought along some special guests – his gorgeous “big sister” Kacie AND his grandfather (all the way from Australia!). What a handsome little guy! As a sidenote, I absolutely loved how incredibly big his grandfather’s hands were and how tiny Lucas was. He won’t stay so little for long 🙂
